At 7:30 the trained Albanian squirrel I'd captured whilst tiger hunting in Tirana dropped a packet of extra strong mints on my head to wake me up. What with that and the sounds from the gnu starting to run on the treadmill downstairs I knew I wasn't going to get any more sleep. Luckily the joyous prospect of work loomed ahead with all the wonders of a fresh days confusion down the ice-cream mine. My work there as inspector has become more dangerous lately, last week an entire wall of toffee-chip nearly engulfed me as a sudden temperature shift melted a vital supporting piece of the wall, the wafers held however and all was well. I will be advising for additional supports for tunnel no.27. Traffic wasn't too bad, the bypass was congested after a small accident where a chicken had run into a moorhen and the resultant city block wide explosion of feathers had caused severe visability problems.
Thankfully I had packed the larger of my two hats.
