This morning I have mostly been pulling PC's apart. That and trying to stop my ears ooze out of my brain, or possibly the other way around.
Pulling apart PC's, is there anything else as fun as pulling apart a load of random electronics, sticking it back together again (with at least 4 screws mysteriously left over afterwards) and finding it still works? Possibly, but it's probably illegal somewhere. Hmmm, power supplies, never touch them myself... not that I'm afraid of them, just careful. Having been electrocuted twice from the mains tends to give you a healthy respect for electricity and also an excuse for senile dementia in later life, or maybe even earlier... but power supplies, somewhere, somehow some doctor has probably found some kind of obscure phobia where people are scared of power supplies, something like potestaphobia or something, or maybe it's even down to specifically coloured wires, wires that could suddenly hold a lethal dose of current and ZAP you're barbeque history, a lightly toasted precooked meal to shelve between the burger baps and the mayo for people to snack on as they idly chat about what colour the next door neighbours weather is. Maybe the wires change colours too, when you're not looking, they sit there in the dark drawing straws to see who gets to be the all important live wire of death rather than plain old boring spare wire.
When I grow up I want to be an earth.
Daytime tv, thats something else in the conspiracy, I mean can you think of a better way to pacify the worlds unemployed and/or motivate them to get a job - personally I think after just one hours exposure to This morning, Rikki Lake or anything like that I'd be screaming to escape and even flip burgers. Maybe thats the plan, or maybe the unemployment office should have a closed screen TV set section for people who dodge getting work on Jobseekers, "Well John, I can see here of the eight interviews we're arranged for you seven you didn't turn up to and the last you wore bunny slippers for. I'm afraid it's the Rikki Lake room for you."
Noooooooooooooo!
Maybe thats what we need. That and wrist straps.
