...if I seem a little heartless for a second, and I don't mean to be because I do understand the losses of the people who died or lost relatives on that day. But check that link for just a second...

The key phrase is... But the family, who asked to remain anonymous, had to agree not to sue the airlines or government in exchange for the pay-out.

Sue the airlines? Noone could even conceptulise that something like this would happen, and even so isn't it the lunatics fault who held the the plane up and smacked it into the building plus associated other lunatics who organised this (and subsequently got bombed into oblivion) or the government?

This musing was really more sparked by this is the world descending into a blame culture when the concept of an self-inflicted accident actually vanishing? Should judges be given a big fat 'common sense' card to smack people around the head with when (for example) they try to sue for things like this ? They're greasy burgers dammit, you eat lots of them you'll get fat, what do you expect?!

I'll maybe get flamed for this, but I'm in a pissy mood this morning, so I apologise.

Eeep!
