Blarg.
Now the incoherant Monday morning groan is out the way it's time to sit back and enjoy the cool breeze from the fan on my desk, ahhhhh.
A good weekend, all in all, aside from finding that my oven is now definately knackered as the oven temperature selector is basically screwed and gas mark 5 becomes gas mark maybe, probably the reason I had a real dodgey stomach after a pizza last week, urg.
Anyway; friday - nice party, minimal roleplaying banter but some nice general chats about life, work and suchlike - not a drop of alchy at all either and I still managed to spout my usual line of tosh, trivia and drivel.
Saturday was the vamp game - which all seemed to go nicely, finally got some votes in for the NST/NC thing, more votes than I'd expected for Eric, oh dear, someone is going to kill me. Got accused by several players of being evil and running evil plots, awwww, they care.
Sunday; the chaos that is changeling; spent about half an hour roleplaying a snake, played with hand puzzles; confused the sidhe with pseudo-babble, chatted in Ewok, attempted to inflitrate the crow mafia, described a broom cupboard as a dungeon with dangeous pointy animals... and more. Good fun.
Crashed and relaxed afterwards.

And now Monday, yay, roll on Friday... I need a time machine.

Grumble...

Well, finally got around to seeing Moulan Rouge on Saturday, possibly not the best choice of film given that I've only just recently managed to re-adjust myself to a state I'd hazard as being vaguely emotionally stable - but I've been meaning to see it for ages. It's very strange in a way, and definately requires seeing again; the director has been very clever, but the whole... experience of the film is so different initially that I really was a bit lost and confused (no real change) from all the effects and style surrounding the characters (scene slides, characters flying off and around, spinning bullet-time-esk style shots that it all sort of swamped me and I felt I'd sort of been washed over by the tide but left behind afterwards with the driftwood after it went out, wondering what I'd missed. But by halfway through I'd adjusted and was enjoying it, it is a good film, very wierd - as I've mentioned once or twice - and all the music flows through it without sounding forced at any point, the ending is wonderful (Hollywood endings - oh how I loathe thee) so I'll have to watch it again, and it's left me idly humming "how wonderful life is, while you're in the world" as scenes flicker through my mind occasionally.
7/10

It's too damn hot - roll on winter; I can always put on another jumper but I can't take off another layer of skin, blarg.
I'm drinking like a fish, and sweating like a bish - 45 mins of work left before I collapse and crawl home.
