Light bulbs
Feb. 21st, 2002 01:05 pmLife can change in such subtle ways.
In case you weren't aware there is a need breed of lightbulb out there, faster, deadlier, able to leap small buildings... erm, well actually it's meant to last 6 years and use 1/5 of the electricty, they also cost around 3 quid each, which saves you a load in the long run.
But thats not the good thing about them.
The bulbs themselves, maybe intentionally but I suspect not, take time to warm up, hence when you switch them on they slowly work their way up to full luminance; why is this so great? Well it makes getting up in the morning a lot less hard on the eyes when I turn the bedroom light on. As I say, subtle ways.
