EQ addict and happy about it :)
Feb. 14th, 2002 08:40 amSo I play Everquest, and dammit yesterday was a shining example of why; myself and a team of friends from my guild went into a dungeon (Sebilis, if you need to know - high level area) after the server reset, bagged ourselves a decent camp and spent the evening slaughtering beasties by the dozen, chatting about friends, things and all manner of stuff and generally having a great time.
If you're in EQ it's a good thing to join a guild - guilds are basically alliances of characters all working together, and my guild The Black Claws is basically a great bunch of friends who'll help you out even if it puts them out of their way; yesterday they surprised me by presenting me with an ultra squiffy item they'd got me (A tolans darkwood bracer) and gone out of their way to get me, because I'd mentioned once that I'd always wanted one - I'd basically been resigned to saving up cash for it and buying one as they're real expensive, but no - they managed to get me one.
So that's why I play EQ, because I have some damn good friends, I get to slaughter beasties with a character that I've been playing for over a year and I get to chat, loot and pootle about a living, breathing world.
So call me an addict, I don't care :)
