Full circle
Feb. 5th, 2002 11:02 am5 years ago I was in a job that was boring me silly, writing database management scripts for a RDBMS phone ordering system in a (what I thought was) a clumsy system that was slow and annoying, I ended up spending my time chatting and roleplaying all day. I quit and wormed my way into programming.
Now I find myself writing database management scripts for a non-RDBMS for a defect logging and release management system in an even more clumsy slow (and diabolically documented) scripting langauge, I seem to be entering a lot of LJ entries, for (admittedly) more than twice what I used to be paid.
Have I actually gone anywhere though?
