The world gone stupid (what again?)

Mmmmm, bought myself a jumbo pack of MAX deep ridge chargrilled steak crisps, absolutely scrummy.

Big picture of a ridged crisp on the front. Big word. "MAX" impact, marketing.

Underneath, small disclaimer; "Not actual size"

Yes, finally the world has reached a point where stupidity is legally allowed. This also follows on shades of the situation where packs of peanuts have to have the message "This product contains nuts" on them.
I mean, duh!

Dear me... whatever next...

This is because peanuts aren't actually nuts. They're legumes, and closely related to peas.
They may contain nuts, as they are packed using the same machinery as other salted nuts (that are actually nuts, and not just ersatz pretend nuts), and so some nut parts may get into the packing.

Interesting fact:

People with nut allergies are also usually allergic to peanuts...

Psychosomatic?

I know peanut allergies are fairly common, but didn't know that peanuts weren't in fact nuts; false advertising again; I mean peanut sounds fairly clear to me.

Mind you, if you take it to names Shampoo becomes a whole new type of product.

In that case, never take Vin Chateau. Vin = Wine, Chat = Cat, Eau = Water. Cat's Water Wine, ew.
