Straight from the top o' the dome

Good weekend. Ah yes. See. See me post. See post run. Run post run. Run over spot. Flat spot flat. Ooops. Sue driver sue. Judge judge judge.
The Bofunk MC's are not helping clarity here.
But it was a fine weekend; my fridge hosted a party. I tarted myself up grand style for a nice chinese for [livejournal.com profile] autumn_storm's birthday and had a nice roast on Sunday for my mums birthday. Fascinating eh? All weekend was enhanced by a factor or pi R lovely by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] the_mendicant

And now. Work. Honest.

Oh yes, that's what I was going to ask. You, yes you boy, the one behind the bikesheds. </pink floyd>

Earphones. Good little 'in ear' ones that can actually stand up to life, the universe and the demands of sitting in my lug'oles.

Any recommendations?

Philips do neat little pairs for about a tenner. They're the ones I use.

Any device which can survive me can be described so, yes.

So many replies censored....

But cheers!

I can imagine.

Did you pass that DVD on?

Was going to give it to him on the actual day; if that's okay?

Oh good; I remember one 'nice' pair I bought from sony that had these wierd little plastic things on the outside you had to fit that were meant to squish into your ears, they were horrible.

I have Sony EX-70 in-ear phones, which are great. I think they've been superceded by -71 now, or something. The only problem is that the cables can be a little fragile.

Sorry I couldn't make your party :-( The weekend was really rather full, though, and I didn't get to bed that night until 1.30am as it was, with a recording session at 10am the next morning...

My you are a busy busy lady! Hope all went well through the chaos.

Fragile cables might be a problem, my earphones go through hell as I yank them all over the place.

They're not too bad - they're just thin. I did eventually kill the cables on my first pair, but only after a year and a bit, and their replacements have lasted much longer than that (and get horribly abused!)

They sound great, though -- lots of bass, very clear, and very comfortable to wear even for extended periods.

Hmmmm. Tempting tempting, I do need a very robust pair however; I've been through four pairs already this year.

Thanks for hosting a fine party! Sorry I fell asleep on the bean bag ...

I just use the Apple supplied in-ear headphones for my player currently, which isn't much use I suppose.

Quite welcome to crash over when you want mate :)

I had some nice 'phones with the player I bought. They didn't last long...

HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT?

If I was wearing a hat, I'd take it off to you sir.

Etymotic ER-6's.
Sony Fontopia thingies that look a bit like earplugs, but are actually just cheaper versions of the Etymotics.
