Music matters...

Is there a band that people express surprise that you like?

For me it's usually Carter USM, product of my sixth form years...

The Spice Girls, but I'm quite selective at what I listen to. I don't think there's a single band where I listen to all of the material. I've not listen to any for a number of months, since the Hard Drive Crash Of Doom in 2002.

Oooh, you're the same age as me, aren't you? Liking Carter is a product of my sixth form years too.

My shameful secret is Robbie Wiliams - I am a big fan of good pop music (yes, there is such a thing!) in general.

Amorphis.

This is particularly true of those that know me more for my tastes in early music.

Erm, 'No one is to blame' is a great song

Carter *shudders*

They're from Farnborough don't you know *shudders again*
I grew up round there.

Other bands of a similar geographical bent (well, neighbouring Camberley) include the infamous Bros. Now will you stop liking them?

Anything not "metal"

Specific examples that have caused comment or raised eyebrows are The Sugababes, All Saints, Alicia's Attic...

Hmmm, those are all distinctly female in nature, wonder if that's a subconscious help to the music? *smirk*

Erm, I help run Octaine, nobody's surprised at anything I play/listen to. This might be helped by the fact that very few people actually know the music I really like. :oP

Not trying to blag but I think I'm in the position of very very few people who know me being suprised by anything I listen to.

erm...

Mel C & Brian Adams doing 'Since you've been gone'??
