Bugs
I really loathe insects (sorry ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
blackmetalbaz) at the moment ants and thunderbugs are top of my annoyance list.
To divert myself from their crawling annoyance I decided to calculate - roughly - how many of the things are around the average wheat field.
For purposes of this we'll take the average field (and infected area) to be a square mile
Now, I have a 2x1 yard desk and I'll assume that this also covers (say) about a yard above it. A quick count over the desk reveals (after I opened the window) no less than 10 bugs crawling over it within the space of 10 minutes.
We'll give the bugs a ceiling of 10 yards up from ground level (wind, superhero tendancies etc) which means that in our sample area we have...
1760/2 * 1760 * 10 * 10 bugs = 154,880,000
In other words too bloody many of the little buggers.
