Although technically useless. You could set up an auto challenge system to be used over IRC, where each person has a list of their traits, modifiers and available retests. Of course, you'd need to ensure that the character information couldn't be hacked, and give a refuse option for unacceptable traits, not to mention a called negative trait section.

Probably more hassle than it's worth unfortunately... although there are online dice rollers for sort of this type of thing.
