Well...

I've just finished reading the MC System...
I've found something I like about it; the "One prestige character a year" rule, which at least is some control over the amount of goob people can create.

As far as I can see all the MC system is going to do is steadily increase what you're allowed to play, and this means after your first character or so most of your characters will be new squiffy ones - no more plebs.
Does this mean that the pleb:poobah ratio will fall?

I also looked at the list of what people can get prestige for - oh my various gods - I've got to keep track of this for everyone.

I sense two roads of action here - I quit as DC2 or I get an ADC to do it for me.

I didn't take this position for beaucracy, or for the squiffy bonuses, I took it to keep the damn game going

There's some other subtleties.

I'd hope that people can be convinced to play higher gen characters. To give examples...here are my current gens.

9th Malk *
11th Tremere
13th Tzimsce *
11th Pander

The * mark prestige characters (one is Officer Prestige, the other membership)

If you're saying "but most people aren't like you" then maybe we can encourage them so to be

ADC option is good. I could do it for Ling after summer.

I don't like the "one per year" rule - it means that if you renew and get a nice new PC, people can squick it knowing you can have nothing like it for the next 11 months. Having a limit is good, yes, but that is not a good way to do it.

Hire an ADC

Over here in the states, most of the CCs and DCs I know have an assistant, dedicated to Prestige Tracking. I know that if I was a *C, instead of a *ST, I'd have one doing the mathcrunching for me. :)
